Shopping in Knockturn Alley was so much faster and more efficient in the eyes of Melana Dobreva. It was smaller, and less frequented by the kind of people who needed what she needed. School supplies were not often in high demand down the dark, seedy Alley. Meandering down the crooked street, she kept her head down, the black hood of her cloak pulled up over her head, obscuring most of her face. Not because she was worried about getting in to trouble down there. She was more than capable of handling herself, should any questionably wizard try anything with her.
The first shop she reached was Venenum Potions, and small, stinky little place, with shrunken heads hanging in the window and a bucket of slop sitting just outside the door with a mop propped up beside it. Crinkling her nose in disgust, Melana pushed the door open and stepped inside, pulling her hood down as she peered around. There were very few patrons here, and she couldn't for the life of her discern who was a shop assistant and who was a customer, so she merely approached the counter and waited.
