ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE
MYSELF

Jonathan James Townsend was born on the 7th November 2004 - making him a Scorpio - to a Muggle couple. He grew up in a small town on the outskirts of London, completely oblivious to the magical world and the link he had to it, Johnny and his family assuming the odd things that happened to him were purely coincidental. He would often be followed around by unexplainable occurrences, such as the time he blew a two and a half foot bubble with his chewing gum when he was nine years old, or the time, at the even earlier age of four, when he had a tantrum and all the lights in the street went out, only to come back on again when he had calmed down. There was even one incident at school, where Johnny's teacher called on him in class, Johnny had been trying to avoid being noticed by her, as he had no idea what the answer was, and so her desk burst into flames, leaving him forgotten about as she tried to put out the freak fire.

He was always a well-behaved boy, even though he was spoiled rotten by his parents, who had money to spare. It never seemed to go to his head, and though he would get up to his own kinds of mischief, Johnny was never one to get into trouble for any of his fun-loving behaviour. He has always been exceptionally good at finding loopholes. If there is a way around breaking a rule, he will find it. And if there isn't, then he'll still manage to make it work to his advantage, somehow ending up completely void of blame no matter who tries to find a way to have good reason to punish him. Given this, it goes without saying that Johnny is highly intelligent. Always in top classes in his school, he never seems to struggle or have any difficulty learning things, even the most complicated of subjects, he has a natural understanding of. And even if he doesn't, he only has to be shown a few times and he's got it nailed already. This goes a long way to helping him keep a good reputation with authority figures.

Two and a half months before his eleventh birthday, Johnny received a letter with a curious wax seal on the envelope. Upon tearing it open, he found a piece of parchment, of all things, inside, declaring that he was a "wizard", and he was to attend Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the first of September, and not the private school his parents had line up for him. After much in-depth discussion, and weeks of dithering, his parents finally came to the conclusion that, given all of the strange things happening that seemed to be getting more and more frequent, it might be best for their only son - only child, for that matter - to attend this magical school. Maybe it would help him. Maybe it would make him stop having freak incidents every few weeks. Or maybe, just maybe it would teach him how to control these incidents, and make them occur at will.

The latter is what Johnny hoped for. Not because he wanted to be able to have power and do bad things with it, such as set people's belongings on fire, but because he thought it would be extremely useful and interesting to be able to perform magic. And so, his first year at Hogwarts was completely fascinating to him. He had always had a very magnetic quality to him, the kind of vibe that draws people in and makes them want to befriend a person, without really knowing them. Self-protective as he is, Johnny is always welcoming to these people, and given them all a fair chance. He knows how to turn on the charm and make people smile and laugh, and though he can switch this on and off at will, it is by no means fake. He is always very genuine with his compliments and praise, as well as his cutting humour. He likes to tease people, not in a serious, insulting way, but in a way that earns him the nickname among his friends of "Wind-up Johnny".

Though he loves to have his fun and push boundaries, Johnny is a person who anyone would be lucky to have on their side. He's generous and kind, giving and loyal and would go to the ends of the earth for a good cause. He especially loves animals, and would do anything for them. You can often find him up in the owlery, or sitting in the common room surrounded by cats that aren't his own. He visits the Magical Menagerie as often as possible, even though he finds it horribly cruel to see the creatures caged up and out of their natural habitat. He has always been this way, often taking in strays or injured things he would find on the street when he was a child. His parents always humoured him, as the icy treatment they would get if they didn't, just wasn't worth it.

Johnny has a wonderful zest for life. He can be fun, he can be crazy, and he can be very unpredictable. He is always up for a good party, and is usually to be found dancing away in the corner, surrounded by hordes of admiring girls. Yes, yes. He's beautiful. Always a looker, even as a baby, Johnny has stunning ice blue eyes that could break a girls heart just with one look, and a mop of dark brown hair that just wants to have your hands running through it. Or so the majority of females at school think. This doesn't hinder his popularity at all, and thus, he always has invitations and events to attend, and is never short of company. He also took a fast liking to Quidditch, finding it a perfect way to burn off all the energy he has. You see, Johnny broods a lot, below the surface. He has quiet spells at least twice a day, where nobody dares to disturb him as he stares off into space and ponders the world, or dark things, or whatever. He's very philosophical, and he also has quite a nasty streak when provoked, so you never know what he's thinking about at these times. So, Quidditch is a brilliant way, he has found, to pelt out some of that frustrated energy. He has tried his hand at Beater and Seeker in the past, but finds his best position is as a Chaser. He has every intention of applying to be the new Team Captain in his seventh year, as he thinks he'd be really good at running the team.
