ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE
MYSELF

Roux L'Amour was born on 14th August, 2004 to Remy L'Amour and Sasha Beaumont, in the heart of France. The city of Paris was a more than capable home to the young wizard, and growing up, he soon became popular with the local folk. His parents are quite well off, his father being a well respected artist, and his mother coming from a family of aristocrats, and needing no nob to provide her with all of her material needs. Heir to a fortune, Roux tend to shun the lot. He got himself a job at a local shop, delivering newspapers around the neighbourhood when he was thirteen years old, just to give himself a sense of earning something of his own. He often refuses money from his parents, preferring to make his own way in the world, and prove his worth.

Roux gained two sisters not long after he turned two years old, and takes it upon himself to protect them, and provide for them whenever necessary. Though they don't need it, he often spends his hard earned money buying them silly little gifts that he knows they'll adore. He speaks fluent French and English, and often switches between the two languages mid sentence when he gets carried away with the subject matter. He can be quite enthusiastic when something catches his interest, and so his actions often become erratic and muddled to an outside eye, as he disappears into his own world, oblivious of the fact that nobody is following him, or even able to follow him, sometimes.

Taking up the offer to transfer to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry a year ago was a daunting task for Roux. He loved his home and the friends and life he had back in Paris, but his younger sisters were determined to go to England and have the new experience, and his sense of duty forced him to follow them. How would he be able to watch out for them if they weren't even in the same country? No. He couldn't have that. And so, big brother tagged along, learning to enjoy the things he found along the way. He has grown to adore Hogwarts, and though he misses his friends in Paris, he has managed to build himself a small network of people he can count on. He has quite the reputation nowadays around school, though not always a good one.

You see, many people - mostly other boys - assume Roux to be gay. Well, that is until they see him slamming himself around a Quidditch pitch at full speed and thwacking Bludgers about with surprising power. He isn't gay, by any means, but Roux has always had more of an affinity with girls. He is most definitely a ladies man. He is charming and thoughtful. Funny and playful. Intelligent and romantic. Pretty much a dreamboat in the eyes of most females. And even in a non-romantic way, he gets along with them much better than he does guys, finding it easier to talk to girls and open up to them on deeper levels. Thus, most boys think he bats for the other team upon first impression. This doesn't bother Roux at all. He's quite comfortable with the situation, and thinks the other boys fools for not taking a leaf out of his own book. After all, you don't see hordes of girls draping themselves over that lot, do you?

Very down to earth, and confident in his own abilities, it's no surprise Roux has a magnetic quality. He has an unsurpressable energy about him that is far too calm to lead to anything good. On the surface, he is the picture of relaxation, yet inside, you can just tell he's raring to go. This makes him a lot of fun, and very approachable. It also doesn't hurt that he's very attractive. With a six foot one, well-built stature, a year long deep golden tan, long, messy, almost black hair that falls over his sparkling brown eyes, eyelashes so long he should be a girl, a huge, wide smile full of perfect teeth, and a sultry look about him at all times, it's really no wonder he's always surrounded by girls. Roux never spends a lot of time on his appearance though. He tends to just jump out of bed, ruffle his hands through his hair, throw on a t-shirt with some jeans or cargo pants, a hoodie, and trainers, and run out the door. Yet somehow he always looks like a total heart-throb.

Roux loves to learn, though sometimes he can get a little distracted and lost in his own thoughts. But he's very creative. He loves to sketch things, and always has blank parchment and quills in his bag in case a particularly alluring subject turns up. His favourite lessons are DADA and Transfiguration, and he has a bit of an aversion to Astronomy. He likes to keep himself on solid ground, rather than worrying about what's going on up there where he'll never go. What's the point, right? Though he always seems to be busy or off doing something with his friends, Roux always manages to get his homework done on time, and retains good grades throughout most of his lessons, despite seeming a little uninterested on occasion.

One of Roux's greatest ambitions in life is to be an entrepreneur. To invent something that turns out to be incredibly successful. To be able to say he created something from scratch and made himself a millionaire would be greatly satisfying to him. The only problem is, he has no idea what type of thing he would do. He hopes that one day it'll hit him like a bolt out of the blue, and he'll go on to great things, with no one to thank but himself. Until then, he plans to get a job in Hogsmeade, as he spent most of his first year in England living off of his parents money and feeling quite dissatisfied with himself. To him, even cleaning tables at Madam Puddifoot's would be worth the haul if it meant he was standing on his own two feet.
