She was finally here! It was growing closer to eleven, when the Hogwarts Express would leave, so she sat her items, which were covered mostly, to avoid muggle detection, with the exception of her baby snowy owl, on a trolly and quickly headed towards platform nine and three quarters. Her fifth year. . . or the very beginnings of it, at Hogwarts was going to be a blast, she thought as the clock struck ten thirty.
"Focus Lily, time to board." she said, shaking herself away from last year's thoughts. She followed the platforms until she reached the one she recognized was the entrance to Hogwarts Express, and watched the muggles for a moment. They didn't seem to notice anything, so Lily ran through the barrier, a little nervous since her dad wasn't here with her.
Albus and James would be here soon, she thought, having complained that now that she was getting older she should be able to do the shopping and going to Hogwarts herself, but had made them promise to write. With these thoughts, she boarded the train and looked for an empty compartment. It would be a while before the train left. Finally, she found one on the right hand side and sat at the closest window seat.
