Delilah's story is best described using photographs. This isn't because she's a hard person to explain, but because photography is a huge part of who this girl is.



Take a look at the picture of the young couple kissing at sunset. If you asked Mr. Everett how the two met, he liked to make it out like it was some big love story. In a way, it was rather romantic to Delilah. The condensed version is that the two dated in highschool, broke it off when Lilian's parents died and she had to move to America to live with her Aunt and Uncle. After college, Lilian moved back and was working as a nurse when Dane Everett came through emergency with a gun shot wound. Their old spark rekindled and they married a year later.



See the picture of the two cute babies in pink and blue bathrobes?It wasn't long after the union of the two, that Lilian discovered she was pregnant – and with twins none the less. Most extraordinary about these twins is that they weren't born on the same day, although their births were minutes apart. Actually, they weren't even born in the same month. Delilah Audrey Everett was born two minutes after midnight on April 1st. Her brother was born three minutes before midnight, on March 31st. To their parents, there wasn't two more beautiful babies in the world, and they were the pride and joy of their eyes.



Since their mother was a nurse and their father a police officer, they weren't the exactly the richest family on the block. Their parents never let them know they went without though. They were happy, the perfect pictures of a young family. From the day they were born they were pampered - their father especially had a soft spot whenever one of his kids even just made a sad face. The bond between the twins was evident from an early age. Their father tells about the time that he was watching the twins from the door. Delilah had drop a toy outside her crib. Before he even had a chance to go in the room and pick it up, her brother had crawled out of his crib, and crawled in her sister's with the dropped toy. Apparently the two played until they both fell asleep. Dee liked to joke that this was just an example of how even from an early age, her brother was a bit of a rule breaker. In reality, this was just foreshadowing of how even from a young age the two would always be there for each other.



There's one picture in particular that Delilah loves to show, where she's dressed up as a witch for halloween and her bedroom walls are a variety of pinks and oranges when apparently they had been a pale shade of yellow just hours before. She laughs every time someone brings up the picture and and claims her parents should of realized what was up with her by then. The age of four was when the beginning of strange occurrences surrounding the twins. It was obvious from an early age that they were both gifted with magic, as Dee's brother tended to find himself on top of the house when he didn't want to go to the dentist and Delilah was constantly changing the colors of her bedroom walls. Their parents seriously wondered what was wrong with their children since they had no idea magic truly existed. Their parents questioned if their children were possessed like the children in the horror movies they watched as teenagers. Thankfully, they had more sense then to seek out help for their kids in the form of an exorcism. Instead, they decided that the two needed their own hobbies. In Delilah's case her mother tried to get her into playing the piano. Later, she picked up a camera and started snapping away at everyone and everything.



The years went but the trouble didn't stop. At public school a boy would pull on her braids and her brother accidentally knocked the bully unconscious even though he hadn't even touched the guy. He didn't want to eat his vegetable, and with the poke of her fork it was out of sight. Delilah swears they got a dog just so her parents could blame the missing food on it. When they finally received their Hogwarts letter, it was a surprise but it didn't take much convincing. Shortly a shopping trip of strange objects and school supplies, excessive packing and repacking and many instructions to look after each other and the two were off to Hogwarts, with Delilah promising to take as many pictures as she could. Unfortunately, she didn't get any actual photos of Hogwarts, for she had left her camera with her parents. On the train they found a compartment with a few other first years. Half way through, they were joined by a couple of older students who spread fake horror stories about the boat ride across the lake and the sorting. They succeeded in terrifying Delilah enough that she visibly shook in fright from the moment she stepped off the train until she heard her name for the sorting. She easily made friends with her house and settled into this fascinating world.



By her second year it was clear she excelled in charms, couldn't keep attention in history of magic and was generally horrible at DADA. The dark dingy potions classroom caused her claustrophobia to become prominent and she ditched the class more often then naught. In her third year when she finally remembered to bring her camera, she was devastated to learn that all electronics went haywire within the Hogwarts enchantments. She decided that she needed to find a new hobby, and immediately took to Quidditch. Her quick and light flying would make you think she's ideal for a seeker, but in fact what she was a good fit for was a chaser. Her specialty was intercepting passes and stealthy stealing the quaffle from the opposing team. In her fourth year her parents bought her a new camera from an odd little shop down Diagon Alley, guaranteed to work in Hogwarts. She was ecstatic to have it, and was known from then on never to have her camera too far out of reach. Photography wasn't something she wanted to do professionally, but she loved capturing memorable moments with pictures.



By her OWL year her personality was starting to shine through. It was obvious she was a sociable girl, and it wasn't difficult for her to make friends Her close friends knew that they could count on her to be fiercely loyal to them, and that she wouldn't back down from a challenge. She wasn't one to hang back in the shadows and let others take the lead. Jumping right in on anything that she thought should concern her was a regular occurrence. She'll let you know when she has something to say, she didn't hold back her opinions on much. It was probably why she's made a fair share of people dislike her. She has a huge heart for anyone who hasn't given her a reason to dislike them. She's also stubborn and tended to hold grudges. Once you manage to get on her bad side, it takes a lot for to get back in her good books. This is probably why she finds it awkward to hang out with the few guys she's dated in the past. With long wavy brown hair and big brown eyes, she did think she was much special to look at especially if you compare her to other girls with striking green eyes or pretty blonde hair.

With seventh year rolling around, she aspired to make a final decision on what she wanted to do after Hogwarts. She thought working as a healer in St. Mungos sounded like a promising option, but she wasn't quite certain yet. Although it was her seventh year and she should have been more concerned about her marks, what she was really focused on was spending as much time with her friends in this last year together at Hogwarts.
