You must sign up for your classes so that our Professors know who to expect to be in attendance in their lessons. Classes that are compulsory (meaning you MUST attend) are as follows:

• • POTIONS (up until 6th year)
• • DEFENCE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS
• • TRANSFIGURATION (up until 6th year)
• • HISTORY OF MAGIC
• • DIVINATION (up until 5th year)
• • ASTRONOMY
• • CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES (up until 6th year)
• • HERBOLOGY (up until 6th year)
• • SELF-DEFENCE
You must also choose at least TWO elective classes, though you may attend more if you wish. Elective (optional) classes are as follows:
• • MUGGLE STUDIES
• • ARITHMANCY
• • ANCIENT RUNES
• • FLYING
• • POTIONS (for 6th and 7th years)
• • TRANSFIGURATION [for 6th and 7th years)

• • HERBOLOGY (for 6th and 7th years)
