At nine and a half inches, it was just the perfect length for Delilah that it felt like an extension of her arm. With a Kelpie Scale core, it's no wonder that the wand is good at adapting to different environments as a Kelpie is a water shapeshifting creature (the largest and most famous being the Loch Ness Monster which is a sea serpent). The sturdy but beautiful ivory handle helps keep intricate wand work precise, which was an excellent quality for charm work. The resilient willow wood returns back to it's original shape after bending, stretching or compression, which was an excellent quality for Delilah. As a young student she liked to store her wand away in her boots for safe keeping and it kept shape even after being subjected to being smashed between her calves and the boots.
