Twilfitt and Tattings was a very discreet little shop, Melana had come to learn of late. Though the prices were higher than other popular shops she could have chosen, Melana was willing to fork out the extra coins for the quick service. There were no queues in sight as she opened the door and stepped inside the narrow shop. Only a middle-aged man stood at the counter, reading The Daily Prophet and drinking his cup of tea like he had nothing better to do. She supposed it must get boring being the less popular clothing store in the area.
The man looked up at her as she approached, folding his paper up and taking one last gulp of tea before addressing her. "Can I help you, Miss?" he wondered, resting his elbows on the counter as he waited for a response. Melana finally pulled down the hood of her cloak for the first time that day. She would no doubt need to remove it completely if she was to be measured for new school robes.
"I need school robes," she told him, golden eyes gazing about the fancy dress robes that lined the walls. "Ah, right. Of course. Right this way, then." The man stepped out from behind the counter and indicated for her to stand next to him. Obeying Melana stepped closer. Within seconds, every necessary part of her had been magically measured, and the shop assistant was back behind the counter, telling her he'd be back with her in a jiffy. Eying him cautiously one last time, she set to looking at dress robes to pass the time.
