Money could buy you a lot of things, and fine robes were an essential in any Pureblood wizard's wardrobe. School robes, on the other hand, were just a nuisance. Evan would much rather be spending his father's hard earned cash on real garments, that would be of use to him outside of Hogwarts, but nevertheless, he was bound by the rules of the school, yet again, to purchase their mandatory robes. He had to buy new ones anyway. Even would never be seen dead in robes that weren't a complete perfect fit on his lithe frame.
Waiting patiently at the counter for the shop assistant to finish preparing his order, he drummed his fingers lightly on the counter top, taking a moment to look around at the other things on offer in the shop. It took only seconds for them to catch his eye. The glistening, twinkling name tags hanging from the back wall. They were blank, of course, ready to be inscribed with whatever name necessary. Evan's gaze was drawn to one set in particular. The diamond encrusted ones. They glimmered at him in a most alluring way, and he found himself unable to resist.
As soon as the shop assistant returned to him, a pile of neat black robes in her hands, the words flew out of his mouth without much prompting from him. "Can I have three of those diamond encrusted name tags, too?" he asked, pointing across the room at them. He would need three, one for his cloak, the other two for his school robes. They were four Galleons each, but Even would be able to afford it. He didn't care if he couldn't. He had to have them. The thing with Evan Fontaine was, if something seemed different, or not what was considered to be "normal", even when it came to clothes, he had to have it. He liked to be different, and stand out, and wasn't afraid of what people thought of what they would call a slightly "quirky dress sense". As long as he was happy with how he looked, Evan didn't care.
"The name is Evan Fontaine," he added, so she would know what to inscribe on the things. With slight hesitation - probably over the price three tiny items would cost him - the woman nodded and took his robes back into the back room to add the tags. Evan waited once more, this time with a satisfied smile on his face.
