Lottie walked into Madam Malkin's Robe shop and wandered around for a moment she was going to have to buy a robe for school and she wasn't really looking forward to spending the money on it. So she walked up to the Shopkeeper and said softly, "Er, I need to buy zee School Set please." After Lottie said that the Shopkeeper disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a pile of clothing that consisted of two school robes, a tie, a hat, a pair of woolen gloves and a black cloak. "That'll be 7 Galleons dear, unless you'd like something else?" The shopkeeper said softly. "That'll be all for now," Lottie said softly and handed over 12 Galleons although her eyes were watching a pair of silk gloves, she figured she probably shouldn't buy anything else.

Sauntering into Madam Malkin's with a smile on her face, Phoebe made her way to the counter, unable to help but overhear the girl with the French accent as she ordered her robes. Deciding to browse through some of the racks of dress robes while she waited, Phoebe picked up hanger after hanger, pausing on the more sparkly outfits she found, particularly keen on a beautiful mint green velvet dress robe, with flowers all around the bottom hem. If she had the money, she would surely buy such a garment, as she often suited green shaded particularly well.
With a sigh, she hung it back on the rail, and headed slowly in the direction of the counter again, pausing at a stand that housed gloves of all different kinds. She was particularly fond of the silk ones. She had tried an old pair of her mother's on once before, and they felt quite heavenly against the skin, she had to admit. Glancing over to the counter, she saw that the French girl had finished being served, and was no eying up the gloves that had caught Phoebe's eyes.
"Are you going to buy a pair?" Phoebe asked with a friendly smile. "They're beautiful, aren't they." Stepping over to the girl, she allowed herself one last glance at the gloves, before waiting for the shop assistant to ask what she wanted. She never liked to pester people until it was obvious they were ready to help her.
