"Beau, is it? That's an unusual name."
'Not in France. Haha. In France you will hear it quite often. I suppose it's a good job I'm not too bad looking or I'd have to change it. Hahaha. Ahem.'
"Not bad looking at all, if we do say so..."
'Umm... I'll pass the compliments on to my mother? My sisters and I - I am a triplet, if you didn't know - all look like her the most, rather than our father. Our mother has the long blonde hair and the blue eyes and pretty face. My sisters especially. I'm not trying to say my mother looks like a boy by comparing myself to her. Heh. Sorry, mum, if you're reading this...'
"She would read this?"
'Oh, yes. She takes a keen interest in everything me and my sisters do. Yes. She will definitely read this. I don't mind that, though. It's nice that she's interested, instead of being one of those mothers that doesn't care about her children or what they are up to. She always makes us feel important and special. She comes to every Quidditch match and event that is held for us. She's amazing. Really. And my father, too. He works very hard, so he doesn't get a lot of free time, but he always tries his best to be there as much as possible. He's a good man. I would hope to be even a little bit like him one day.'
"You grew up in Val-de-Marne, France. What is it like making the transition from there to England?"
'MmmHmm. In a very small town. There are actually quite a few magical people in that area, hidden from the Muggles, of course, so it is not too dissimilar to Hogsmeade, when I really think about it. Well, we get warmer seasons, I guess, and it's not nearly as British and quaint, but with regards to the size and community of it, it's close enough to feel comfortable to me. I actually have a bit of family from England on my father's side, so we come over here to visit every now and then. That's probably why my accent isn't so strong as it might be. I find it quite easy to pick things up like accents and habits. So, mine has softened over the past year.'
"That's a shame. We love your accent... Us girls, I mean. I suppose you get a lot of female attention for it..."
'Haha. Not at all. No. Well, not that I am aware of. Do I? I mean, I haven't... I didn't ever notice... I'm sure I don't. Ahem...'
"So, you're not a total stud with the ladies then? We find that hard to believe..."
'Umm... no? I have female friends, and I sometimes flirt a little bit, but I'm not one of those guys you see chatting girls up left, right, and center. I tend to just be friends with them. I mean, if they want more... I've never noticed. I have had girlfriends, of course, but I don't have my pick of the entire school. That would be a little generous.'
"Modest as well as beautiful. If only all guys were like you!"
'Heh. I'm not sure that would be a good thing. I am not really modest, just honest. I don't see myself that way at all. I'm just me. I'm quiet and studious and a little bit un-cool, or however you would want to describe it. I've never been in the popular crowd, it's not me. I like to spend time with a small group of friends that I know and am comfortable with, rather than crowd-pleasing. It's never been in my nature. My mother always calls me her rock, because I am so dependable and sensible and loyal. I wouldn't know how to be raucous and over-confident. If you want to call that modest, then that's fine, but I really don't think that's what it is.'
"So, you mentioned you were studious. Are you a brainiac, too?"
'No. No. Haha. I can hold my own, and keep my grades up, but I'm nowhere near genius levels. I have problem areas just like most other normal people. I find History of Magic a little difficult. Mostly because it's not very interesting to me, so I struggle to remember dates and names. And I would never willingly participate in Arithmancy or Ancient Runes. I think my head would explode. But I get high enough grades in things like Charms and Transfiguration and Astronomy and Care of Magical Creatures. And then I have my favourite lessons and ones I don't enjoy. For example, I find Flying fun, and Herbology and Potions horridly dull. I have a nice mix going on, I think. Hehehe.'
"You do seem to be a well-balanced person. How do you manage that?"
'It's just who I am. I've always found it easy to balance things and keep my life running smoothly. I have always been very laid-back and calm, which helps a lot when it comes to juggling a lot of stressful things, like school. And I just don't ever get myself worked up about things that are out of my hands. There's no point. If I can't change or fix something, I am not going to let it ruin my life. You know? Just move on and concentrate on the good, positive things that you have some semblance or control over. It's the only way to stay sane. I suppose I have always been wiser than my years, in a lot of ways. I just understand how to be happy and peaceful in my every day life. Stress is not welcome in my world.'
"Well, you are always welcome in our world. Seriously, when you graduate, look us up."
I, uhh... Okay. That's nice of you to say so. I think I need to go now... Ahem. Heh. Bye... Sorry, are you flirting with me? ...Nevermind. Umm... bye.'
