No New Posts THE SORTING CEREMONY

All new students must attend the Sorting Ceremony to find out which house they will be a member of. Please come inside, take a seat on the stool at the front of the Great Hall, place the Sorting Hat on your head, and wait to find out what House you are in.

(NOTE: You must RP this experience. Start a new thread inside, the title of which should be your character's name, e.g JAMES POTTER! Your post can be as long or short as you want, but you must NOT decide what house you are sorted into yourself. A member of staff will do this after you have posted. ONLY COME HERE ONCE YOUR CHARACTER APPLICATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!)

Step through the huge oak front doors into the grand entrance of Hogwarts Castle. The Great Hall is to your right, corridors to your left, and straight ahead, the marble staircase leading to the higher floors.

No New Posts The Great Hall

The great hall, home to the house tables, and venue of wonderful occasions such as the Yule Ball, the Start of Term Feast, and the great Sorting Ceremony. The ceiling is quite a thing to behold, enchanted to mimic the weather outside, it's absolutely fascinating, just don't stare at it too long or your food will go cold!

Transfiguration lessons are compulsory, and taught by the wonderfully strict Professor McGonagall. She kicks ass, so be sure to show up for class.

Board Description
Ground Floor
The main level of the castle holds the Great Hall, with staircases leading to higher floors and down to the lower levels. Transfiguration lessons are also on this floor, as well as the Staff Room, but students aren't allowed in there, so I don't know why I'm telling you that...
